Well, Christmas is over and it was a great day--loving family and friends, great meal cooked by my sistr, and even good weather. However, the whol Christmas season always leaves me with unanswered questions" 1) If you get a Xmas card from a friend and it is signed from both her and her husband, do you send your card to them both--even though you have never met him?
2) If you get a gift and the tag says it is from your friend AND her husband, is it ok to just give a gift to the friend? 3) When a Xmas letter you receive lists every accomplishment of the sender's children , and you are an old mail with cats, is it too lame to list your cats' activities in your letter? 4) When you insist on saving all the wrapping paper from gifts you receive, will you really use (or even find) it again next year? 5) Why does "The Sound of Music" show up on tv every holiday season..I mean what does that have to do with Christmas?
6) Why does it take twice as long to take down decorations as it took to put them up?
Just wondering...

Thoughts on Winter
After the Dec. 1st snow fall melted the next day, I was in a state of denial about the force of winter..somehow letting myself forget how bad it can get. Then, the big blizzard hit this past weekend...So much snow and wind..When I finally ventured out on Sunday afternoon (just to see if I could clear some snow from my car), I was a little confident because of a "foam snow broom" thing I had orderd--allowing the user to just push snow from one side of the car Well, the thing had arrived with "some assembly required" and I guess I didn't do it right ,because a bolt came out after 2 minutes. So, then I am on my hands and knees in the snow--looking for a bolt...with not luck. So, I got my little shovel and began digging at the ridges of snow that the snow blower someone had used earlier had left on the side of the car. After a short while my gloved hands were so cold I was sure my thums were frost bitten. I abandoned the whole thing, and later paid neighbors to finish the job
The next day, I got i the car and soon found it would not back up--I was stuck on ice UNDER the car! After getting help with that, I was finally on the road...At the first intersection I got to, I realized the snow bank on the corner was so huge that I could not see what was coming unless I got INTO the intersection! I almost collided with a cnother car! I am envying the species that hibernate!

I'm Back......
Well, here it is December already--I have neglected this blog for months.. Now, I am thinking about writing the annual Xmas letter (ie. trying to put a dramatic spin on my quiet life) and I was thinking how I could say I "started a blog"--except, of course, I never gave the blog address to anyone--not to mention the fact that I haven't made an entry in ages. So, I turned over a new leaf and tried to see if the blog adderess I thought I was got me the blog. It did not.! Then, I tried to enter a new one--but, of course, had forgotten my pass word. Now, after creating a new pass word, I am here. So, once again, I seem to be able to "put it out there" but am not sure how people can get at it...?
I am, however, determined to figure that part out--so I will make another entry now:
Today's subject is "Entering Sweepstskes via the Computer"
It all began months ago when I got an e mail from Publishers Clearing House asking if I wanted to enter the sweepstskes. I thought "sure, clicking on something would be much easier than looking through the snail mail for this stamp and that box and the "sticker"."..So simple--I thought..
That was months ago, and I am still getting multiple e mails every day---always saying I am "almost entered" or "one step away from authorization" or simply need the "confirmation", etc. In my efforts to get to that one last place to click, I have been scrolling through page upon page of products--and though it does say I don't have to buy "to increase my chances", I often get to the end, hit, "SUBMIT" and get the whole list of products all over again. Then, one night, I actually saw something I wanted to order, and, in fact, tried to order TWO, but could not figure out how!
I am not sure if I have been getting notices about different sweepstakes OR if the e mails I get are all about the same one. I am not sure of anything to be honest...except, of coursde, that I must haver too much time on my hands!
